Coala VRTL 2020

With the cancellation of the in-person edition of the Coala Festival due to the pandemic, Coala VRTL was proposed as an alternative, a live broadcast of several shows over the course of a day. Without the need to receive the public, a large space was chosen as the location at the head of Serra do Mar, in the middle of a preserved Atlantic forest reserve.

The main stage, for bands, was designed as a discreet platform, integrated with the surrounding landscape, framing the natural setting with luminous elements. Digital elements were occasionally included, thus contemplating the aesthetic relationship between tropical vegetation and technology that is part of Coala's visual identity.

The DJ booth was designed as a small "tree house", elevated among the trunks of the forest, covered with chrome/mirrored material and with the application of lighting equipment, creating an aesthetic dissonance while reflecting the surrounding landscape.
